Our History

is the estate of grandfather Petros, who lived there all his life since 1919 and he was mainly engaged in livestock farming and agricultural work in order to be able to preserve his 8-member family. Since 2008, the estate was converted into a guest house named Pezoulia, with stone-built villas, modernly equipped and architecturally adapted to the natural environment of the area.

The complex of traditional guesthouses Pezoulia is located at the settlement of Selakano, very close to the forest and at an altitude of 930 m. It is the ideal starting point for day hiking trips to the picturesque surroundings of the Dikti mountain range, but also for excursions to the hot south beaches of Crete. Hiking maps of the area's hiking trails are also available for our guests. Moreover, guided tours to Selakano’s canyons and routes can be organized upon request.
